Arsenal are chasing a deal to sign Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid this summer.
According to Spanish outlet AS , several members of the Gunners’ dressing room already consider the Brazilian’s arrival a ‘done deal’.
Vinicius rejected Madrid’s most recent offer of €22 million per year to sign a new contract.
The 26-year-old wants €30m annually to extend his stay , but Los Blancos have made it clear they will not go beyond their latest offer.
Vinicius is one of the best attackers in the world, known for his pace, trickery and goal threat.
Since joining Madrid in 2018, he has made 375 appearances across all competitions, bagging 128 goals and 100 assists in the process.
The talented forward has helped his side win 14 major trophies, including three La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies.
But it is looking increasingly likely he will join Arsenal before the end of the transfer window .
Vinicius has entered the final year of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu. There is currently a significant gap between what the player demands and what the club is offering.
Arsenal are aiming to make a marquee signing this summer and they have firmly set their sights on the Brazil international.
Mikel Arteta’s side have already signed Christos Tzolis, but further attacking reinforcements are needed. Both Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are expected to leave the Emirates Stadium.
