There was something fitting about Odell Beckham Jr. getting another chance to play at MetLife Stadium in a Giants uniform. Nearly eight years after his first stint with the team, Beckham was back in familiar surroundings, even if his numbers didn't exactly go crazy.
He finished with two receptions for six yards, but that doesn't fully capture his day. Beckham had chances to make more of an impact, getting open downfield on multiple occasions without the ball coming his way.
That should be enough for New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen and head coach John Harbaugh to remain happy about what he's seen from the veteran receiver throughout the summer.

The Giants have seen enough from him in camp to feel good about his ability to create separation, and his preseason return to MetLife only added another piece to that evaluation.
The Giants also got some good moments from their rookie class. Arvell Reese, the No. 5 overall pick, made an early defensive play when he shot through the line and brought down Jordan Mason for a one-yard loss. It came just three plays into the game, giving the rookie linebacker a chance to show his instincts right away.

Malachi Fields had an even bigger moment on offense. The third-round receiver came down with a touchdown from Jaxson Dart, making the grab over a defender. He finished the night with three catches for 34 yards.
Francis Mauigoa had a quieter outing, which could actually be viewed as a positive for the first-round offensive lineman. He didn't immediately stand out, but there weren't any obvious issues that would bring up concern, either.
The Giants still have a lot of preseason football ahead, but there were enough individual performances to give the team something to work with going forward.
