The Xavier Musketeers landed their first commitment in the Class of 2027 on Sunday, Aug. 23.
According to multiple reports, Brandon Mason Jr. has committed to Xavier. The guard also announced his decision on Instagram.
Mason, a 6-foot-6, 165-pound shooting guard, is a four-star prospect from Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, where he transferred for his senior season along with his younger brother, Carmelo.

According to 247Sports, Mason is a top 5 player in Missouri and the No. 7 shooting guard in the nation for the Class of 2027.
Mason, who visited Xavier this week, is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Earlier this week, he listed Xavier in his top 5 along with Boise State , Grand Canyon, Ohio and New Mexico.
Mason's offer sheet included nearly 20 Division I programs, including Washington, UC, TCU, San Jose State, Nevada and UNLV, amongst others.
