NEW YORK (WABC) -- A woman was struck with a weighted bag on a subway staircase in Manhattan.
It happened around 11:45 p.m. Friday at the 14th Street station for 1,2, and 3 trains near 7th Avenue.
Police say the 26-year-old was walking up the steps when someone approached her from behind and hit her with the bag.
The woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
The attacker ran off. He is described as a man who was wearing a blue and black t-shirt.
