See the full story · 2 sourcesPolice are looking for two assailants who opened fire, fatally shooting a 25-year-old man and killing a 64-year-old woman a block away at midday on the city's West Side.
At 11:55 a.m. the 25-year-old was standing outside in the 200 block of South Pulaski Road when two unknown gunmen approached and at least one of them opened fire, shooting the 25-year-old.
At the same time, a 64-year-old woman was found dead in the 300 block of South Pulaski Road with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.
Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they were pronounced dead, according to police.
The gunmen sped away in a black car, southbound on Pulaski Road.
No other injuries were reported.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
