Broncos' projected inside and outside linebacker depth chart
The Denver Broncos have some uncertainty at linebacker going into training camp.
Notably, outside linebacker Jonathon Cooper has an arraignment date for his felony assault case set for Aug. 31 . Denver excused Cooper from minicamp last month after his second arrest. It remains to be seen what his status will be when the club opens training camp this week.
At inside linebacker, Jordan Taylor was placed on the non-football injury (NFI) list on Sunday, and his recovery timeline is unknown. That's one less ILB available to compete for a backup spot going into camp.
Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad are the obvious starters at ILB, but the backup spots behind them are up for grabs. If Cooper is not available at OLB, Jonah Elliss will likely be the top candidate to start across from Nik Bonitto.
