Arizona reached terms on a reworked deal with the quarterback on Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported .
Brissett was going into the second year of his two-year deal. No new years were added to the reworked contract, but he will be paid $15.5 million with a chance to make $21 million due to incentives.
The veteran quarterback missed most of the Cardinals’ offseason workouts after he requested a new deal.
Brissett started 12 games last season for the injured Kyler Murray. The former Patriots quarterback went 1-11 and threw for 3,336 yards with 23 touchdowns.
The Cardinals elected to move on from Murray, who signed with the Minnesota Vikings in March.
Brissett had two stints with the Patriots, one in 2016 after he was drafted in the third round and again in 2024 . He made eight appearances (five starts) and was a mentor to Drake Maye , who eventually took over as the team’s starter .
Brissett is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2026 season.
