See the full story · 1 sourcesKade Anderson is the No. 1 minor league prospect in all of baseball, according to a new ranking from Keith Law of The Athletic . A few weeks removed from his appearance in the MLB All-Star Futures game, the former LSU baseball star continues to impress.
The right-handed pitcher plays for the Arkansas Travelers, the Double-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners selected Anderson at No. 3 overall during the 2025 MLB Draft. Law long considered Anderson the best pitcher in the minor leagues.
"It’s plus control and maybe plus command of a four-pitch mix highlighted by one of the minors’ best changeups, which has generated a 50 percent whiff rate when batters have swung at it and given him a reverse platoon split on the season," Law said. "He’d be in probably 27 or 28 rotations right now, just not the one in Seattle."

All of those numbers rank atop the Texas League. Through 15 starts, including three quality starts, Anderson owns a 9-1 record through 77.2 innings pitched.
