It took seven days more than expected, but Walsh Jesuit will get to play its second game of the Ohio high school football season in Week 3 on Friday, Sept. 4.
The Warriors (1-0) , ranked No. 1 in the Beacon Journal's Power Poll heading into Week 2 after a season-opening rout of Highland , had to cancel their home opener against Springfield (Clark Co.) late last week after an outbreak of an illness in the Springfield program.
Now Walsh will face a strong test when it hosts Toledo Central Catholic (2-0), a 2025 Division III state runner-up that started the season with wins over Trotwood-Madison (27-9) and Portage Central (24-14).
