Dak Prescott Praises 'Sleeper' from Cowboys Offense

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback lauded a teammate who hasn't received many receiving opportunities during his NFL career. Prescott celebrated a "great" training camp from tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford during an interview with FanDuel TV's Kay Adams .
"I'm not into the fantasy world, but yeah, if there's a sleeper, I'm sure it's him," Prescott said. "He's a guy that's done everything right since he's been here. I give a lot of credit to the guys that show up every day in the offseason. The guys hitting me up, 'Hey, when's the next time you're throwing?' And Brev is the epitome of that."
Those reps have helped Prescott build a better rapport with Spann-Ford before their third season together.
"Any time I had the ball this offseason and was in Dallas, Brev was there. He was ready to go," Prescott added. "I think that just, one, shows his mindset. It shows the mentality that he worked with this offseason. And then obviously, the chemistry we were able to create in that time has helped out here as well. He's playing on fire, and he's doing a hell of a job."
Spann-Ford likely isn't on the radar of many drafters beyond the deepest of fantasy leagues. Although the Cowboys ranked second in total offense to the Los Angeles Rams last season, the former undrafted free agent caught nine of 13 targets for 90 yards and one touchdown.
The 6-foot-7, 270-pounder also tallied 61 of those yards in the season's final two games, playing a career-high 48 snaps in a Week 17 win over the Washington Commanders.
CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Jake Ferguson return to Dallas this season, so Spann-Ford may not garner enough targets to make a significant fantasy impact. Yet his role could increase following a meaningful endorsement from Prescott.
