Logo text Hallmark has announced the full cast for its third Holiday Touchdown movie.
Hallmark movie regulars Lyndsy Fonseca ( Single on the 25th, The Love Heist ) and Robert Buckley ( The Christmas House, 'Twas the Date Before Christmas ) play the two lead roles in Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story , which wrapped filming in and around Chicago — including at Soldier Field and the Chicago Bears' team headquarters, Halas Hall — in late July. The cast also includes Marsha Mason, Barbara Alyn Woods and Khary Payton, with cameos by Tamera Mowry-Housley, Marilu Henner and Chicago-based actors Jake Connelly ( Stranger Things ) and Dyon "Mojo" Brooks ( Miss Governor ). Bears head coach Ben Johnson will also appear in the movie along with current players Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland and former stars Mike Singletary, Charles "Peanut" Tillman and Dan Hampton. Connie Payton, the wife of Bears legend Walter Payton, also makes an appearance.
A Bears Love Story is the third Holiday Touchdown movie in collaboration with the NFL and Skydance Sports, which executive produces the film. The previous two featured the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
Story details are mostly being kept quiet for now. But as with the previous two movies, the movie will incorporate the team's charitable arm, Bears Care, and highlight some of the work it does in Chicagoland.
Dustin Rikert directed A Bears Love Story . Andrew Gernhard and Molly M. Mayeux produce the film; Jessica Matthews and David O'Donnell executive produce. The movie will premiere in the fall as part of Hallmark's annual "Countdown to Christmas" slate of original movies.
