Departing Barcelona star sends heartfelt farewell message
Ferran Torres has on Saturday sent a farewell message the way of all associated with La Liga champions Barcelona. This of course comes fresh off the 26-year-old bringing a close to his time with the club.
Frontman Ferran saw his move to France with Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain made official earlier today.
Ahead of the expiration of his Barcelona contract terms in the summer of 2027, the former Manchester City man made the call to seek out a new adventure under the watch of fellow countryman Luis Enrique at the Parc des Princes.
This brings to an end a four-year spell in Catalunya’s capital for Ferran, highlighted by 65 goals, a trio of La Liga titles, and much more.
On Saturday, the versatile attacker was therefore quick to make clear his appreciation for Barca’s staff, players, supporters and any individual to have crossed his path at the Camp Nou since his arrival back in 2022.
In a post on his official social media platforms (as cited by ESport3 ), Ferran wrote:
‘Culers, the first thing I want to do is thank you for everything. Defending these colors has been a source of pride. What I have experienced at Barça in these four and a half years has made me a better footballer and a better person.
‘I promised to give it my all and that’s why I’ve worked. Always with the aim of helping the team, of taking Barça to the top, where it deserves to be. In this club I leave friends inside and outside the dressing room, and many people who have made us all better. Together we have been champions with Barça and many of us also with the national team. Thank you and good luck Barça.’
