Al-Hilal boss Simone Inzaghi offered a brief update on Joan Cancelo after his team’s opening game of the Saudi Pro League season on Friday.
Cancelo is hoping to secure a permanent move to Barcelona after another successful loan spell but a deal is yet to be agreed.
The defender was not in the Al-Hilal squad for Friday’s game but Inzaghi was asked about his future afterwards.
“He continues to train regularly with the team. As for his future and the question of whether he stays, that’s a question for the board,” he told reporters.
The latest reports have suggested Al-Hilal have upped their price for Cancelo as transfer talks between the two sides continue.
