Results revealed from San Jose poll to rename downtown plaza

Results from a public poll to rename San Jose’s downtown plaza were revealed Tuesday.
San Jose is looking to rename the plaza, which for 33 years carried the name of late labor leader Cesar Chavez, after his name was removed in March following allegations of sexual assault and misconduct.
The top two choices from the poll are Plaza de San Jose, which led with 40% of the vote, and Farmworkers Plaza. About 10,000 San Jose residents participated in the multiple-choice poll to rename the plaza.
