The injury bug has found Ashton Jeanty .
With just three weeks before the regular season begins, Jeanty suffered an injury during the Las Vegas Raiders practice on Sunday, Aug. 23.
Jeanty was helped off the field by trainers and couldn't put any weight on his right leg, according to ESPN's Ryan McFadden . It came after he was diving for a catch and landed awkwardly.
Multiple reports added that the entire team took a moment to recognize the injury, saying a prayer for the second-year back.
The Raiders had been cautious, at least in game action, with Jeanty during the preseason. He logged just three carries in the preseason opener and didn't play in the team's second contest.

Mike Washington Jr. is currently listed as a the backup to Ashton Jeanty. The Raiders selected the rookie in the fourth-round of the 2026 NFL Draft after he ran for 1,070 yards and eight touchdowns on 167 carries in his lone year at Arkansas.
Washington has generated 15 carries for 119 yards across his two preseason games thus far. The 6-2, 228-pounder has also logged two catches for 18 yards while solidifying his status as the top option behind Jeanty.
