The schools have agreed to resume their century-old rivalry with a four-year deal that starts in 2030 and runs through 2033, the schools announced Monday, Aug. 3.
In addition, a home-and-home agreement with Indiana for 2030-31 has been canceled at the Hoosiers’ request, a source confirmed.
The agreement with USC offers a temporary fix to a back-and-forth spat that saw the schools put their rivalry on hiatus after last year’s meeting.
USC coach Lincoln Riley, who had been wary of making an extra trip to the Midwest now that the Trojans are members of the Big Ten, spoke on the issue once again last week in Chicago at Big Ten Media Days.

Notre Dame athletic director Pete Bevacqua told the Irish Illustrated podcast in recent days he was confident the rivalry would resume at some point.
That time will now be at the start of the next decade.
According to Notre Dame, the matchup will take place in Week 1 in Los Angeles and South Bend in 2030 (Aug. 31) and 2031 (Aug. 30), respectively, with early-season meetings to follow in 2032 and 2033.
The latter two matchups will take place in the first three weeks of the season.
With Notre Dame throwing its support behind an eventual expansion to a 24-team College Football Playoff, marquee matchups with traditional rivals could have a wider berth outside of conference affiliations.
Notre Dame and USC first played in 1926 and have met 96 times overall. Notre Dame leads the series 53-38-5, including an 8-2 mark over the past.
