Former Vikings defensive back waived by the Colts, claimed by Browns

A former Minnesota Vikings cornerback found himself being waived this past week. To his benefit, he was claimed off waivers by a team that is likely to play him sooner rather than later.

On Wednesday, the Cleveland Browns claimed cornerback Mekhi Blackmon off waivers after he was placed on waivers by the Indianapolis Colts . He played in all 17 games for the Colts last season and started in 11 of them. He racked up 64 tackles, two interceptions, and seven passes defended.
