A. J. Brown lined up against the Philadelphia Eagles in training for the first time since being traded, and his battle with Quinyon Mitchell caught the eyes of fans.
A. J. Brown was traded to the New England Patriots for a first-round pick and a fifth-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles a little over two months ago.
Brown won a Super Bowl in Philly and enjoyed a decent amount of success in his four years with the franchise. However, his departure came under a cloud. He was openly frustrated by the end.
Philly fans now have a complicated relationship with Brown, so they were always going to take notice of how he performed during joint training involving the Eagles and the Patriots.

NFL fans reacted to A. J. Brown and Quinyon Mitchell’s battle in training
Quinyon Mitchell has emerged as one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL. He has a First-Team All-Pro selection to his name, and as a former teammate is likely familiar with Brown’s game.
When the two went up against one another in a 1-on-1 training drill, it was a highly anticipated clash following the trade. The clip went viral on X, with fans reacting to it.
“Dropped ball by AJ but beat Mitchell on this with ease,” observed one fan. “Ran harder here than any play in the playoffs last year,” another fan said about Brown.
“Y’all saying AJ dropped the ball. So what, Q wins the rep,” wrote an Eagles fan. Another one said, “Get used to those drops, Pats fans!”
“Beating Q and then dropping it. AJ is in midseason form already!” a fifth fan commented. “I can’t wait for this matchup in a real game,” said a sixth.
Considering the circumstances of his departure, Eagles fans clearly do not want to see Brown do well. It will be exciting to see how the Patriots chapter of his career turns out.
