Ipswich have signed Argentina midfielder Exequiel Palacios from Bayer Leverkusen for an undisclosed fee, reported to be £23.5 million ($32 million).
The 27-year-old, who has agreed a four-year contract, becomes Ipswich's 11th summer signing following their promotion to the Premier League.
Palacios told the club's official website: "This is a club with great ambition and I am excited to play football in England and compete against some of the best clubs and players in the world."
He progressed through River Plate's youth system and joined Leverkusen in 2020, scoring 15 goals in a total of 186 appearances, playing a key role as they won the Bundesliga and German Cup double in 2024.
