The San Francisco 49ers have just begun their offseason training camp, and there are already a series of injury issues that have fans rightfully worried.
While Kyle Shanahan is still not back from his offseason car accident, Christian Kirk, Gracen Halton, Vederian Lowe, and Andrew Farmer didn't practice the first day. But, for Day 2 of training camp, a different concern came up with Ricky Pearsall.
As Nick Wagoner of ESPN reports, Pearsall reportedly has swelling in his knee stemming from last season's PCL injury that has the 49ers concerned.

"49ers WR Ricky Pearsall is dealing with knee swelling related to the PCL injury he suffered last year," Wagoner reports. "Team says 'all options' are being explored and there is some 'concern.'"
This is a bad update from the 49ers on Pearsall, someone who is key to the team's offensive success heading into the 2026 NFL season.
Of the team's top wide receivers, he's the only returning one. Mike Evans, De'Zhuan Stribling, and Kirk are new faces, while Demarcus Robinson is just a depth piece.
Brandon Aiyuk is in limbo, Kendrick Bourne left for the Arizona Cardinals , and Jauan Jennings signed with the Minnesota Vikings in free agency.

Pearsall is meant to be a key player in this receiver room, but now there is some concern about his knee injury from last season lingering into the 2026 season.
Last year, Pearsall played in just nine games, recording 528 yards receiving on 36 receptions with no touchdowns. he played in just 11 games in 2024 as well, and now, while there's still time before the season begins, Pearsall could miss time again.
This Pearsall injury situation is going to be one to closely monitor this season, as the 49ers are not in a good spot if Pearsall can't go to begin the season.
The 49ers have concerns with this knee issue for Pearsall. It's too soon to panic, but this knee injury for Pearsall is not a good way to begin training camp for the 49ers this offseason.
