See the full story · 1 sourcesNew England Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore has one goal in mind every time the defense steps onto the field: to dominate.
The star defender spoke with media members after Sunday's practice, where the top defensive unit got the better of the offense. Granted, the Patriots are still hosting non-padded practices, but the competition has remained intense throughout the first couple of training camp sessions.
"Our goal is to dominate," Barmore bluntly said.
The unit did plenty of dominating last season, especially in the postseason.
Justin Herbert, C.J. Stroud and Jarrett Stidham were all on the receiving end of the unit's incredible run. Barmore finished the season with 29 tackles, two sacks and 58 quarterback pressures. He will be looking to take things to the next level for a Patriots team expected to have one of the best defensive units in football.
