Chelsea Remain Keen On Signing This Bournemouth Midfielder: Should Alonso Move In For Him?
In a recent post on X , journalist Florian Plettenberg revealed that Chelsea remain keen on signing Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott. It has been mentioned that the Blues are prepared to launch another move to sign the English talent in this transfer window.
Scott enjoyed a solid campaign with the Cherries recently as he put in a string of influential displays for them in the middle of the park. The English midfield ace featured in 39 matches for Bournemouth last season, finding the back of the net four times and earning one assist in multiple competitions.
The 22-year-old is currently among the most talented central midfielders in the Premier League . Thus, it is no surprise that the Blues are showing interest in acquiring his services later this year.
His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Chelsea to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Should Chelsea Boss Xabi Alonso Move In For Scott This Summer?
Scott loves a tackle and can sense the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot and is a good passer as well from midfield.
The English sensation can even contribute by scoring and creating the odd goal for his side. Scott is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as an attacking midfielder or as a right-sided wide player if told to do so by his manager. He is already quite familiar with the Premuer League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Chelsea if they manage to get him on board this summer.
We can expect Scott to bring more energy and dynamism to Xabi Alonso’s midfield department. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Stamford Bridge in the coming years.
At 22, Scott has got a bright future ahead of him and could be a real asset in the West London club’s squad. Therefore, Alonso would be wise to move in for him before the end of this summer transfer window.
