One Big Ten Network analyst is expecting bigger and better things for Michigan State football after a recent visit with the program.
The Big Ten Network football crew made a stop at Michigan State this past week as part of their annual fall preseason camp tour to each program. Following the visit, longtime Big Ten Network analyst Dave Revsine had some very positive things to share about the Spartans .
Revsine took to social media following the tour stop at Michigan State's practice to state the Spartans are "more ready to compete than some might be anticipating." He went on to add that the blueprint for success this season at Michigan State is obvious to him: play great defense, run the ball effectively, get smart quarterback play from new starter Alessio Milivojevic and "win in the margins."

The Spartans were picked to finish No. 16 out of 18 teams in the media preseason poll and enter the fall with a wins total of 4.5. So the more optimistic opinion and view from Revsine is certainly interesting and helps further my opinion of the Spartans contending for a bowl game this fall.
Michigan State will open the 2026 season in less than three weeks, with the season-opener scheduled for September 4 against Toledo. Kickoff will be at 8 p.m. ET.
