LeBron James shocked the world when he announced his free agency move to the Philadelphia 76ers last week.
Many thought he was going to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat or even the Golden State Warriors.
Instead, LeBron decided to join Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe and fellow new addition Jaylen Brown in Philly.
The reaction to James’ signing has been incredible , with thousands of 76ers fans celebrating ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Some local restaurants have even offered James free food or named meals after him as a thank you for choosing the Sixers.
Which Philadelphia restaurants have offered LeBron James free food?
Firstly, Sweet Lucy’s Smokehouse in Philadelphia has offered LeBron James free ribs whenever he wants.
They posted on Instagram : “Hey LeBron! Come to Sweet Lucy’s and get free ribs for life! Welcome to Philly and go Sixers!”

Geno’s Steaks has not only invited LeBron to their restaurant, but talso offered to teach him how to make their famous cheesesteak.
“Whenever he’s ready, we’ll welcome him with a cheesesteak, hand him the spatula, and even let him spend some time behind the grill for a little cheesesteak 101 with me personally.
“Every Philadelphia legend has a story at Geno’s, and we’d love for LeBron’s to begin here,” President Geno Vento told TMZ Sports .
Meanwhile, Geno’s competitors, Pat’s King of Steaks, have renamed their classic cheesesteak after LeBron.
“Everyone knows there’s only one way to order the classic, and now there’s a new way to say it,” owner Frank Olivieri also told TMZ Sports.
“When you come to the window and ask for The King’s Way, we’ll know exactly what you mean.”
It is fair to say that LeBron will never go hungry in Philadelphia, having chosen to spend his final NBA chapter in the city.
