Furthermore, Romano reports that Manchester City and Enzo Maresca see Swansea as the ideal destination for Monga to develop as a player. Lastly, it is reported that Monga’s loan move includes no obligation to buy or other related clauses and he will return to City at the end of the 2026-27 season.

It took time to reveal itself but the plan that Manchester City had for Jeremy Monga’s development has become clear. Monga could have stayed at City and split his time between training with Enzo Maresca’s squad and playing for City’s EDS side. However, the path that Monga has taken in his young career may have seen that route not suit him. The young winger has already played consistent first team football with Leicester City. He wouldn’t get that opportunity at City so a loan move makes sense for him.
A loan spell at Swansea should suit Jeremy Monga. Typically, Swansea play attacking and attractive football which should suit the strengths of Monga’s game. Monga is a quick, tricky and technically gifted winger. He should be able to play the necessary minutes for Swansea to contribute to their cause and aid his development. If that does occur it would be ideal for all parties concerned.
