With the success of the Superman reboot and the TV series Peacemaker and Creature Commandos , the latest entry in the DC Cinematic Universe from director/producer James Gunn is Lanterns , a new TV series that blends a gritty crime drama with the comic book sensibilities of Green Lantern .

Starting on Sunday (Aug. 16), Lanterns is available to watch on HBO, or stream on-demand on HBO Max .

When Does ‘Lanterns’ Air ?

The series premiere airs starting on Sunday (Aug. 16), with a start time of 9 p.m. ET/PT, with new episodes of Lanterns broadcasting every Sunday until Oct. 4. There are eight episodes in total this season.
