Gates opened at 3 p.m. for Lollapalooza Day 3 after being delayed due to heavy rains, organizers announced Saturday morning.
“At this time, we are actively working on cleaning up areas of the grounds with an updated plan to open doors at 3 p.m., with the Box Office opening at 1 p.m.,” according to a notification sent through the festival app.
Several acts playing earlier in the day were removed from the updated schedule, including Chicago disco-funk artist Ric Wilson, who was slated to perform at 1:15 p.m. but was cut from the updated schedule posted Saturday afternoon. Other artists had their sets pushed back, such as K-pop phenoms Cortis and singer Leon Thomas.

Sunday (1994) posted on Instagram: "We are extremely disappointed to announce that due to extreme weather conditions our Lollapalooza set has been cancelled."
Periods of widespread torrential rainfall are expected to amount 1-2 inches, according to the National Weather Service, with localized amounts over 2-3 inches. The weather service also said there is a chance of a couple of thunderstorms Saturday evening. A flood advisory was initially in effect for the area until 1:30 p.m. then extended to 5:15 p.m. Saturday.
