While the franchise was able to re-sign Draymond Green, Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford and De'Anthony Melton, Warriors fans have expected a better free agent haul.
Apart from No. 11 overall pick Yaxel Lendeborg and No. 54 overall selection Lajae Jones, Golden State has yet to bring in any new players. A recent graphic illuminated this fact, as the rest of the league has combined to make 80 offseason additions, while the Warriors have made zero.
This lack of action has angered fans, especially after hearing from NBA insider Anthony Slater, who said that Golden State is "just fine running back this kinda older 37-win core and understanding they’re not necessarily a part of the title conversation.”
Whether or not this is a precursor to a lengthy rebuild or a title-contending team next season remains to be seen. That said, the Warriors' core, headlined by Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler III, Draymond Green and Kristaps Porzingis, is only getting older.
