Is Notre Dame’s first-round pick Jadarian Price the same tough guy fans are eager to see keep the run game dangerous for the Seattle Seahawks after Kenneth Walker III? Can this young running back, who made a name for himself in college football, truly become a Seahawks star?
His teammate, Super Bowl champion and Pro Bowler Julian Love, who plays safety, has seen the potential in Price. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler , Love said:
“Price's burst is ‘like a prime Dalvin Cook.’ And [tight end AJ] Barner added that Price has a knack for following the ‘track’ that blockers create.”
Draft analyst Rob Rang wrote about Price in this Seattle roster update back in March that he's not an ordinary player:
"Price would seemingly be a hand-in-glove fit for the Seahawks. An instinctive runner with excellent vision, burst and balance, he is a clean schematic in the wide-zone offense Fleury will keep in Seattle, and he may very well prove an upgrade as a pass-catcher, as well. Under Fleury's watch, Christian McCaffrey led all NFL running backs last season in receptions (102), receiving yards (924) and receiving touchdowns (seven)."
Price is called special because his attention to detail doesn’t make him look like a rookie, as head coach Mike Macdonald himself said that Price “doesn't feel like a rookie,” according to ESPN. Macdonald further said that he’s an “impressive guy.”

A versatile weapon, he also excelled as a kickoff returner, racking up 794 return yards and 3 kick return touchdowns on 22 attempts (36.1 average).
Overall, Price finished his time with the Fighting Irish generating 2,648 all-purpose yards and 27 total touchdowns before being selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Seattle made the last pick of the first round shrewdly at Price because - Price clocked an official 4.50-second 40-yard dash (with some sources logging 4.49s) at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine.
