The league heads to Donald Trump ‘s New Jersey golf course on Aug. 6 for its next major event. However, the uncertainty around LIV appears to be lessening after a new update from the organization Wednesday.

LIV CEO Scott O’Neill reveals that the league is receiving significant financial backing that will expand beyond 2026.
“LIV Golf has an agreement in place with a lead investor, signed by the investor and approved by the board, to anchor the transaction and play a key role in supporting the path forward for the league’s next era, driven by and for the players,” O’Neil said in a statement.
It’s been a tumultuous few months for LIV Golf after PIF suspended its funded to the tour after years of support. However, top players like Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm remain fully committed to the growing golf organization.

Although, the financial infusion for LIV does mean that the league can survive into 2027 at a bare minimum.
Their new financial support could amass $250 million or more to keep the league going in the future. However, that’s a small fraction of the financial backing that PIF gave to originally bring in stars like DeChambeau, Rahm and Brooks Koepka.

It’s estimated that PIF injected over $5 billion into LIV during its involvement with the league. Meanwhile, their financial support has also extended into various other sports like Formula 1, UFC and more.
