An early bit of silverware most years since 1973, this season saw Paris Saint-Germain meeting Premier League competition for the second-straight season.
The UEFA Super Cup is now a one-game affair at a neutral site as it's lost some luster, but for a long time it was a chance for teams who missed out on the very exclusive European Cup field to flex against "the world's best."
