There is only one thing Trump has talked more about than his construction projects
A new analysis determined Trump talks more about the Iran war and his ongoing construction projects than policies such as immigration and the economy

President Donald Trump has spent the last seven months talking extensively about his ongoing construction projects, foreign policy and immigration – but more than that, the president talks about his current war, according to an analysis from PolitiFact.
Between January 5 and July 27, the president has used 55,901 words to discuss Iran during press conferences, executive order signings and prerecorded messages, PolitiFact found after reviewing events from the last several months.
The war has become a major fixture in Trump’s second term, especially since the U.S. and Iran have struggled to maintain a ceasefire and the status of the Strait of Hormuz while negotiating a peace deal to end the conflict that Trump started in late February. The war continues and Iran and the U.S. continue to both claim control of the Strait.
Reporters are consistently asking Trump for updates on the war, which has elevated consumer prices. But the president has also taken several opportunities to flex the U.S. military’s strength and progress in the war, in an effort to put a positive spin on the unpopular conflict.
Second to the war, the president spends much of his time talking about construction projects – mainly his White House ballroom and the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool renovations.
The analysis by PolitiFact, which used AI, other software and humans to determine the number of words the president used about a certain topic, found that Trump mentioned his construction projects at 84 events across 66 days – more than a quarter of all his public events during the time period.
In total, Trump dedicated 44,901 words to his construction projects.
PolitiFact’s analysis did not include Trump’s Truth Social posts or print interviews.
At some events, Trump spent more time discussing his projects than policies such as the economy and immigration, PolitiFact found.
The Trump administration has been occupied with ongoing renovation and beautification projects in the second year of the president’s second term because they’ve faced several legal challenges.
Trump, who hopes to build a new White House ballroom, has expressed frustration at judges for blocking his ability to work on the project without objection. During news conferences, the president has touted the benefits of the various projects he’s undertaken – despite the major global war.
In a mid-May news conference that took place at the site of the White House ballroom construction, the president focused most of his attention on the elaborate ballroom, even as the lawmakers were pushing back on military forces in Iran.
It was only after members of the press asked the president about Iran that he revealed he was “an hour” away from striking Iran again.
When pressed further about Iran, and the public’s growing negativity around it, the president brushed aside concern.
“I’ll tell you what, when we explain it people – I don’t really have enough time to explain it to people I’m too busy getting it done,” Trump said at the time.
