Manchester United Are Facing Stiff Competition For This Talented Left-Back: Good Fit For Carrick?
In a recent report , The Sun revealed that Manchester United are facing stiff competition for Club Brugge left-back Joaquin Seys this summer. It has been claimed that the Red Devils would have to compete with Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Benfica and Porto in the race to sign the Belgian defender this off-season.
Seys enjoyed a good run of form at the Belgian club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of impressive displays for them on the left flank. The 21-year-old found the back of the net twice and secured five assists in 39 matches for Club Brugge last season across multiple competitions.
The Belgian sensation is currently among the best young full-backs in the Jupiler Pro League. Hence, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are in the mix to land Seys this month.
His current contract at the Belgian club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Man United to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Will Seys Be A Good Fit For Manchester United?
Seys is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required and is a good passer as well.
The Belgian youngster did well to add a few goals and assists to his game last season. Seys is primarily a left-back but can also function as a right-back or play as a defensive midfielder if asked to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he will be able to adapt to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils end up recruiting him this month.
We can expect Seys to enhance the quality of Man United boss Michael Carrick’s defence in the long run. He is good enough to fight for a regular starting place at Old Trafford next season.
At 21, the future looks quite promising for Seys. He will also help the Red Devils challenge across all fronts in the coming years. Seys is a prospect to watch out for in the long run and would be a great fit for Man United’s needs this summer.
