North Carolina finished its 2025-26 campaign with a 28-8 record, ending with a 63-42 loss to eventual Final Four participant UConn . The Tar Heels earned a couple big wins during their season, most notably at NC State and on Senior Day vs. ranked Duke , with their deepest roster in years contributing to that year-long success.
UNC only has a few matchups announced for its 2026-27, recently adding two on Tuesday. The week before Thanksgiving, North Carolina will face Texas Tech and Alabama in Disney World's WBCA Showcase.
The Tar Heels and Red Raiders will battle November 19 at 6 p.m., followed by a UNC- Alabama matchup at 5 p.m. on the 21st.
Both Texas Tech and the Crimson Tide are coming off NCAA Tournament appearances of their own, but North Carolina made it further than both their Disney World opponents.

Head coach Courtney Banghart is quietly becoming one of the ACC's best coaches, leading North Carolina to six consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. The Tar Heels might not carry a UConn or South Carolina-like pedigree, but they can compete with college basketball's best.
