Grant, a Californian, charged from the seventh starting position, passed Harley Burns for the race lead on Lap 18, then led the final 13 circuits to capture his third victory of USAC's nine-race 2026 Indiana Sprint Week series on Saturday night at Haubstadt, according.
Meanwhile, Cummins, a Princeton native, finished the race third, but earned enough points to secure his first career USAC Indiana Sprint Week championship by a mere seven-point margin over Grant. Cummins also won the Jim Hurtubise Classic in April at the Action Track.
