This story is still developing, but it’s worth noting that Netflix, The Gentlemen ‘s streamer, has yet to renew the show for a new season.
Original article: Duchess of Sussex and Suits star Meghan Markle may be considering a return to acting, according to a recent report from Murdoch-owned News.com.au . Variety has seemingly confirmed the item , which claims that Markle has been “offered a role in an upcoming project based in the UK,” coinciding with her family’s recent return to the United Kingdom. Details beyond that couldn’t be obtained as of this writing, and, cousin, did we look.
Previously, Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, Duke Of Sussex, had moved their family to California to build their own media fiefdom. After trying out podcast life with an exclusive deal with Spotify , Markle and Prince Harry signed a $100 million development deal with Netflix, which brought the streamer shows such as the reality series Harry and Meghan ; Polo , Prince Harry’s aptly titled polo documentary; and Markle’s brand-expanding lifestyle series With Love, Meghan . Netflix declined to renew their contract in July 2025; their Spotify deal dried up in 2023.
Should Markle return to acting, it could be exciting news for Suits fans, a contingent that swelled after the series became one of the biggest in 2023, breaking the Nielsen streaming record for most minutes viewed in a single week with a stunning 3.1 billion streams . This success fueled interest in a revival that didn’t work out so well and wouldn’t have had a chance of bringing back its most famous co-star anyway. But now? Since we’re speculating about a stranger’s future career options, who’s to say?
Other suggestions for the Duchess that we’ll casually toss out there: A recurring role on Riot Women as a brooding bass player might be fun; an appearance in Avengers: Doomsday , because cameos can be shot in closets, and why not; and, oh, let’s see, teaming up with Hannah Waddingham for a UK-set Beef season 3.
