Emmanuel Acho reacts to DiJonai Carrington’s explanation
Carrington’s comments didn’t sit well with many analysts, including former NFL star Emmanuel Acho, who called out the Sky guard-forward.
With Acho’s comments going viral, Carrington offered an explanation, listing off her educational milestones alongside a claim that her ‘white privilege’ comments were never directed at Cunningham.
Now, Acho is back with another viral X post, where the ex-NFL star sarcastically agreed with Carrington’s clarification.
“You are correct, DiJonai Carrington, my assumption, along with the majority of the sports world, was that you posting ‘white privilege’ immediately following being thrown out of a game for fouling somebody white was regarding the foul.
“But if the two things are somehow not connected, that’s on me. I’ll stand corrected,” Acho wrote on X .
He added, “However, America is a speaker oriented country, so the burden is on you for being clear, direct and easy to understand.”
Acho’s response has gone viral on X, with the post already gaining over 2.3 million views at the time of writing, and the majority of fans have agreed with the former NFL star.
