Texas A&M unveiled a new look Friday that it will wear when the Arkansas Razorbacks come to Kyle Field on Oct. 3.
With their old Southwest Conference foes in town, the Aggies will ditch their traditional uniforms and break out desert camouflage jerseys and helmets with maroon pants. The "Honor and Support" uniforms are inspired by the khaki uniforms of the school's Corps of Cadets , the dried grasslands and the rolling hills of Aggieland, according to the university.
There are plenty of other details featured in the unique design. A patch on a sleeve and the gloves pays homage to Texas A&M's military heritage with elements inspired by the traditional Aggie Ring, including the star and laurel leaf. The other sleeve features a Texas flag.
Fittingly, Texas A&M had safety and team captain Marcus Ratcliffe, who comes from a military family, model the new look. Ratcliffe started Mission 3:12 , which raises money for Walk Among Heroes, a charity that gives World II veterans a chance to visit Europe, a place many hadn't been since the war ended.

The Honor and Support jerseys and other camo-inspired apparel will go on sale Saturday morning at the school's official online shop .
The Aggies have embraced college football's alternate uniform craze over the past 15 years, including an all-black look during the Johnny Manziel-Mike Evans era. They've also gone with chrome helmets and worn throwbacks to the days of the Junction Boys and their 1939 national championship season .
Texas A&M, which made its first College Football Playoff appearance last season , opens at home against Missouri State on Sept. 5.
