Real Madrid’s pursuit of Diomande has sparked a pointed response from PSG, with the French champions explaining why they refused to match the financial demands involved in the deal.
In an unofficial statement issued via L’Equipe , PSG dismissed suggestions that they were willing to enter a bidding war for the highly rated youngster after Real Madrid moved into pole position.

In a strongly worded statement, PSG said: “They were asking for crazy money for a player who has potential but was playing in the Spanish second division one year ago. We won’t break the bank because a club arrived with fireworks.”
PSG then concluded with a pointed remark aimed directly at Real Madrid.
“This shows where Real Madrid are right now.”
Real Madrid have PSG rattled
The comments underline PSG’s frustration after missing out on one of Europe’s most promising young talents.
