The Wyndham Championship begins Thursday at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, where many players will be battling to move up the season-long points standings into the top 70, the threshold to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which begin next week in Memphis.
World No. 3 Cameron Young has returned to the site of his first Tour win to defend his title at the Wyndham against a field featuring several other big names, including Justin Thomas, Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth and young star Jackson Koivun , who placed fifth here as an amateur last year.
