Arsenal unlikely to enter the race for Bradley Barcola before the end of the transfer window
Arsenal continue to explore options to strengthen their attack this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola (23) among the players they have admired throughout the transfer window. However, The Athletic reports the Premier League champions are unlikely to enter the race for his signature.
The France international has remained on the Gunners’ list, but a move appears difficult due to PSG’s valuation of the 23-year-old. Arsenal reportedly consider the French champions’ asking price, believed to be in the region of £145 million, excessive for a player who has not always been a guaranteed starter in Paris. Barcola has enjoyed an impressive rise since joining PSG from Lyon in 2023, establishing himself as an important option in Luis Enrique’s attack. However, Arsenal are understood to be unwilling to meet such a significant fee for the winger.
Liverpool set to beat Arsenal and sign Barcola?
With the north London side continuing to assess attacking targets, Barcola’s price tag could ultimately prove decisive in determining whether their interest develops into a concrete approach. Liverpool are currently leading the race for his services.
