The 2026 FBS college football season kicks off with Week 0 on Saturday, beginning with Bill Belichick and North Carolina taking on TCU at the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland.
The UNC-TCU game will air on ESPN and Disney+ , with Mike Monaco on play-by-play, Jordan Rodgers as the color commentator, and Dana Boyle as the sideline reporter. As was recently reported , Monaco, Rodgers, and Boyle will mainly form ESPN’s crew for Friday night games this season.
Additionally, former LSU, Notre Dame, and Cincinnati head coach Brian Kelly will make his debut as a color commentator for the Jacksonville State-North Dakota State game on CBS Sports Network.
In total, there will be eight FBS college football games in Week 0, all on Saturday. Week 1 will follow with games from Thursday, Sept. 3 through Monday, Sept. 7.
