See the full story · 1 sourcesIt's a payback series for the Milwaukee Brewers .
After trading for pitchers Dustin May , Jojo Romero and Antonio Senzatela near the deadline Aug. 3, the Brewers begin a four-game set at American Family Field against the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight.
The Brewers will look to avenge a three-game sweep that took place in Pittsburgh in the final series before the All-Star break. The Brewers have lost five of six games played with the Pirates this season and been outscored by a total of 18 runs. The Pirates did not face Jacob Misiorowski last month and they will miss the Brewers' ace again in this series.
Fans will be pleased that Tuesday night marks the return of games being televised on local over-the-air television. The Aug. 4 game will be carried on many local stations across Wisconsin including WITI FOX-6 in the Milwaukee area.
The 2025 Cy Young award winner, Paul Skeenes, will pitch for the Pirates in a game nationally televised by ESPN Aug. 5. Skeenes is 2-0 against the Brewers this year, but he's struggled much of the season. He has a 9.64 ERA in his last two starts.
