Alabama football's 2026 season has arrived.
The Crimson Tide will return to Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday, Sept. 5, for its season opener against East Carolina , a team Alabama has not faced since 1998. The Pirates finished fourth in the American Athletic Conference in 2025 with a 9-4 record, ending the campaign with a Military Bowl win against Pittsburgh.
In their only previous meeting, Alabama beat East Carolina 23-22 in Birmingham Oct. 17, 1998.
