See the full story · 1 sourcesThe Jacksonville Jaguars announced two more roster moves at the linebacker position.
The team has signed Jahlani Tavai and waived Jared Bartlett with an injury designation.
Jacksonville signed Bartlett recently to bolster their linebacker depth with Jack Kiser sidelined. Bartlett, unfortunately, was injured in a recent practice.
Tavai is an experienced player, having been in the NFL since 2019, when he was a second-round pick by Detroit. He has appeared in 107 games, making 67 starts.
Tavai has recorded 432 total tackles, along with four interceptions and 11 pass breakups. In 2025, he played 290 defensive snaps with New England.
Tavai also comes with ample special teams experience, which will be where his presence may be felt the most in Jaguars ' training camp.
Can Jahlani Tavai make a roster push?
Linebacker is a crowded position group for the Jaguars. Parker Hughes, Yasir Abdullah, and Jalen McLeod may end up competing for just one available roster spot.
Tavai's addition bolsters the depth as the Jaguars deal with injuries here. Perhaps he can earn a spot on the practice squad.
