See the full story · 1 sourcesThe Atlanta Falcons signed former Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu to their 90-man training camp roster and placed linebacker DeAngelo Malone on the reserve/PUP list Tuesday afternoon. Tuipulotu, a former sixth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles, has appeared in 33 games over five NFL seasons, with two career starts.
The 27-year-old can provide additional depth behind Brandon Dorlus and Maason Smith at defensive tackle. Tuipulotu has recorded 48 combined tackles (24 solo), five TFLs and three sacks for the Eagles and Chiefs.
Malone was placed on the PUP list last week, but since he was added to the reserve/PUP list, the former third-round pick no longer counts against the team's 90-man roster. A solid special teams contributor, Malone will be missed in the meantime.
