See the full story · 1 sourcesThe Los Angeles Rams are heading home after nearly two weeks of camping at Loyola Marymount University. Training camp is in the books, which means the Rams will now return to their headquarters in Woodland Hills for the remaining four-plus weeks before the regular season begins.
Though training camp is over, their work is hardly done. They still have two joint practices, three preseason games and final roster cuts to go through, all leading up to Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 10.
Below is the Rams' remaining schedule this summer before the regular season.
Rams joint practice and preseason schedule
Joint practice with Cowboys: Tuesday, Aug. 11, Woodland Hills (time TBD)
Preseason Week 1: Saturday, Aug. 15, at Kansas City Chiefs, 4 p.m. ET
Joint practice with Saints: Thursday, Aug. 20, Woodland Hills (time TBD)
Preseason Week 2: Saturday, Aug. 22, vs. New Orleans Saints , 4 p.m. ET
Preseason Week 3: Thursday, Aug. 27, at Los Angeles Chargers, 10 p.m. ET
Final roster cuts: Sunday, Aug. 30 by 6 p.m. ET
As you can see, the Rams will be busy over the next few weeks. They'll have a little bit of a break after cuts are made on Aug. 30, but then their preparation for the 49ers will ramp up before Week 1.
In the meantime, they'll be getting ready for Tuesday's practice with the Cowboys, which is more important for the team's starters than preseason games. It'll give Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua and other top players a chance to face someone other than their own teammates, which will be good for everyone involved.
