Defending champions IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans begin their title defence against Dindigul Dragons in the tournament opener, while the final will take place on August 28.

The opening match and the Dindigul league leg, till August 15, will be staged at NPR College Ground in Dindigul.
Following a two-day break, the remaining league games, playoffs and the final will be held at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

TNPL 2026 format explained
The eight teams plays each other once during the league stage, making it a single round-robin series with 28 games played before the knockouts. The top four teams in the league make it to the playoffs.
The top two teams play against each other in Qualifier 1, with the winner advancing to the final, while the third and fourth-ranked teams compete against each other in the Eliminator. The loser in Qualifier 1 then competes against the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2 for the second finalist spot.
