Most recently, LAFC opened its Leagues Cup with a win over Mexican soccer giants Chivas de Guadalajara. LAFC and Chivas de Guadalajara were tied 1-1 to end regulation, before LAFC won 5-4 in penalties. Scoring for LAFC in the matchup was Denis Bouanga, who scored in the 38th minute.
