Arizona finally has its starting power forward for the upcoming season.
Clemson transfer RJ Godfrey has signed with Arizona, as first reported by Pete Nakos and Joe Tipton of On3. Godfrey’s signing comes days after a federal judge in Colorado ruled that all college athletes who graduated high school in the 2022 class – Godfrey included – are eligible to compete for a fifth season. The NCAA said it is planning to appeal the ruling.

Assuming Godfrey is eligible when all is said and done, he provides Arizona with the experience at the power forward position that could put Tommy Lloyd ’s squad in the top echelon of teams entering the 2026-27 season.
The 6-foot-8, 240 pound Godfrey averaged 12 points and 5.3 rebounds last season for the Tigers. He shot a career-best 61% from the field.
Godfrey played his first two years at Clemson, transferred to Georgia for the 2024-25 season, then transferred back to Clemson last year.
Godfrey is the last expected addition to the 2026-27 roster.
